Collaboration Lab for Bangladeshi media & civil society

Free Press Unlimited, in collaboration with ARTICLE 19, invites Bangladeshi civil society organizations (CSOs) and media to form alliances to together apply for this third and final round of the Collaboration Lab.

The Collaboration Lab is a small grants project for alliances of Bangladeshi media and CSOs and aims to promote collaboration on issues that are important and relevant to Bangladeshi citizens, stimulate the development of innovative solutions and facilitate knowledge exchange and (mutual) learning. The Collaboration Lab is part of the programme “Joining Forces: CSOs and Media for Accountability in Bangladesh”, implemented by Free Press Unlimited and ARTICLE 19 Bangladesh and South Asia, and funded by the European Union.

In the Collaboration Lab, media and CSOs are invited to form alliances and jointly apply for a ten-month subgrant. In this third and last round, we ask alliances to submit a proposal to set up a joint initiative on developing lobby and advocacy strategies. For example, they could propose co-designing a campaign, setting up a coalition on a certain topic for advocacy purposes, and/or produce investigative media content with follow-up lobby efforts. A panel of judges will then assess the proposals and select 5 alliances to receive a grant of a maximum of 60,000 EUR.

In addition to the financial support, selected alliances will have access to tailor-made capacity-building packages that include training and coaching on digital security, gender and inclusion, internal governance, and internal systems and procedures.
