On December 9th, Free Press Unlimited will be presenting the WADADA News for Kids youth prize at the awards ceremony of PLURAL+, the Youth Video Festival in New York hosted by the UN Allliance of Civilizations.

Cinema and art to express emotions

This year's winner is the film 'Skins' ('Pieles') produced by students of Instituto Lluís Vives in Valencia, Spain. The film is directed by Maria Muñoz (17). The poetic film deals with the deeper emotions of teenagers and encourages them to use cinema and art for expression. The director will be present in New York herself to receive the prize.

Talent that inspires others

“This film shows how a group of students can stimulate each other's talent to make a film that inspires others. Maria has shown her talent as a director by reaching a high level of cinema and a strong medium for change”, says Jan-Willem Bult, Head of Children, Youth & Media at Free Press Unlimited.

Distribution in 20 WADADA countries

After the awarding ceremony in New York, the film will be distributed for broadcasting to the 20 countries that participate in Free Press Unlimited's project WADADA News for Kids.
