Around the world, journalists face increasing repression and threats to their safety. Since 2012, Free Press Unlimited has supported thousands of journalists through our emergency fund Reporters Respond, providing support such as temporary relocation, legal assistance and safety equipment.

About the map
The map shows the number of emergency interventions provided in each country. One intervention may support more than one journalist.
The number of interventions does not necessarily reflect the level of need. Access, security, internet restrictions and available funding all affect our ability to provide support. In some regions, restrictions or security concerns prevent us from providing direct assistance, even when the need is high.
